Muri-Gries Lagrein has got the biggest share with 70% of the harvest at the monastery.
The wine is fermented in steel tanks, afterwards it's pressed either in high-grade tanks or in big wood barrels.
This wine is featuring dark red shades and a fresh fruity impact. It tastes spicy, elegant with a soft, velvet-like tannic clothing. It has a full body, the structure is good, and the persistence is more than medium.
I would say it's an every-day wine, to drink with red meat, hot meat-vegetable soups, and some medium-aged cheeses.
