For the eyes it's limpid garnet red, with strangely orange shades, thinking of it's a vintage 2009. It has a wonderful consistent body when stirring it around in the glass.
In the nose it's quite intense, with tar, red fruit like strawberry, dark fruit like blueberry, balsamic winegar, wood, raw ham, red flowers and minerals like the lead at a pencil. A quite complex wine, fine, with a relative elegant bouquet and fairly good intensity.
Drinking it brings a very dry sensation, warm and quite soft, fresh, strong tannins and quite tasty. This Morellino has a good structure, quite balanced, long persistence and a rich finish, with lot's of balsamic winegar and almonds.
It's still a young wine, but quite harmonius and very promising for the future. A wine to save in your cellar! It's worth waiting for beeing mature.
If you have the opportunity do drink it now, I think you should go for a "salsiccia grigliata", a local tasty tuscan sausage, grilled on a stone cole grill.
