The Giachi family has been around since 1720 and produced wine at this vineyard, today we have the 13th generation working with the vines.

The winemakers of Torciano has made an attempt to a "Super Tuscan" with their blend of Sangiovese grosso, Cabernet and Merlot. The Merlot has grown on soil of clay and limestone, with a small amount of organic substance. The Cabernet has a soil of clay and limestone, with little organic substance. The Sangiovese grossos soil is limestone and minerals.

The ageing has been made through oak barrels of 50 hl, and through a mix of casks of oak and chestnut of2,2 hl, then finally a 6 month refinement in bottle before start selling.

The colour is intense ruby red with garnet shades. It's quite fruity in the nose, together with some tobacco and vanilla, coming from the long time in oak. It has a full body and complex structure.

To eat with this interesting wine I would recommend red meat, roast meat, wild game, a spice vegetable omelette, spicy aged cheeses and really dark chocolate!

Recommended serving temperature is 18 degrees, remember to let it breathe or decanter it before serving.
