Frascati Superiore
NOME VINO: Frascati Superiore 2011
PRODUTTORE: Cantina Sociale di Monte Porzio Catone
ZONA: Lazio - Italia
VALUTAZIONE: @ @ @ @ @
For me Frascati was the first white wine from Lazio I tried, and this Frascati Superiore from Cantina Sociale in Monte Porzio Catone is a good example of Lazio's Frascati wines, coming from the hills south of Rome.

I enjoyed different dishes of pasta with zucchini, tuna-fish and chicken-meat on different occasions, and that's what I would recommend to this wine, together with some young cheese, not to strong flavours! A risotto with zucchini would go great with the wine.

The wine filled my nose with discrete notes of yellow flowers, green grass, yellow apples, brown pers, lemons and kiwi. Many of the same aromas showed up also as flavours when I drank the Frascati (not always they do). The best strengths of the wine was it's dryness, and the freshness with the salt and minerals.
